The Chapada Diamantina is the right place for those seeking peace and tranquility as well as for those seeking history and adventure. A place where bucolic and urban life coexist in harmony, and where nature can be seen on short walks around town or during long treks through the National Park.

Lençóis: historical city, listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage, is one of the main entrance points of the Chapada Diamantina National Park. It has cobblestone streets and 19th century houses where restaurants, inns, shops and bars now operate. In Lençóis it is possible to visit a lapidary of diamonds. The Municipal Park of Muritiba, only a few minutes away from downtown, has waterfalls, wells, colorful sand lounges and natural whirlpool bath. At dusk, the beautiful view of the city is a must see. Ribeirão do Meio is another attraction that is easily accessible to those in Lençóis. Its natural well and toboggan is perfect for both swimming and fun. Be sure to visit the Serra das Paridas Archaeological Complex, an area with 18 archaeological sites, four of which open for visitation.

Morro do Pai Inácio: with 1,120 meters of height, it offers fantastic panoramic views of the northern part of the Chapada. The sunset seen from this hill is one of the most beautiful postcards. The Hill is 22km away from the center of Lençóis.

Poço Azul: Nova Redenção is a 1 ½ hour-drive from Lençóis, and the city in which the Poço Azul is located. Its crystalline turquoise blue waters reach 21 meters deep, and it is possible to float in some stretches.
